Genome-wide association study (GWAS): Depression symptoms in adolescence across prospective and retrospective cohorts

Depression is a complex trait disease which emerges most often and most severely during adolescence. Attempts to determine genetic variants associated with psychiatric traits in adolescence are often unfruitful due to the lack of power. We are inviting cohorts to participate in a large scale GWAS meta-analysis of adolescent depression from multiple cohorts acroos the Early Genetics and Lifecourse Epidemiology (EAGLE), Psychiatric Genomics (PGC) consortia as well as any other suitable cohorts with self-report data on depressive/mood/internalising symptoms.
