School-level effects on mental wellbeing

Children’s mental health and wellbeing may differ by school. This may be due to the characteristics of pupils and their families, such as socioeconomic status and deprivation, or due to factors at the school such as academic pressure and the physical environment. This study will use data from surveys of children at primary schools in Bradford to test whether children’s mental health differs between schools, and if so, whether this is explained by pupil characteristics.
