Maternal and Paternal Age and Risks of obesity from Childhood to Young Adulthood: Individual Participant Data Meta-analysis

This project aims to determine the associations of maternal and paternal age at child’s birth with child’s BMI and risk of obesity, and to assess if any association present can be explained by socio-demographic or life style related variables.
We will perform individual participant data (IPD) meta-analyses using data from all eligible EU Child Cohort Network (ATHLETE, LifeCycle and external) cohorts that are interested in joining the project. The determinants and outcomes needed for this analysis have already been harmonized within the EU Child Cohort Network /LifeCycle/ATHLETE and analysis will be performed using DataSHIELD.
