Eating Disorder Symptomatology in a Diverse Community Sample of Adolescents

This project will aim to estimate how common eating disorder symptoms are in a community sample of adolescents. Eating disorder symptoms include restricting food intake, over-exercising, binge eating, purging, and worrying about body shape or weight. We will aim to understand how eating disorder symptoms vary across different demographic groups, such as gender and ethnicity. We will then aim to look for associations between eating disorder symptoms and other health and lifestyle factors, for example food insecurity and health behaviours.
