Sleep is important for physical and mental health as well as for cognitive development in children and adolescents. Several aspects of the urban environment may affect sleep, including the built environment, noise, air pollution, natural spaces, etc. However, knowledge of several of these urban environmental factors and their significance for sleep is sparse, especially for vulnerable populations such as children. In the proposed study we will investigate the relationship between different urban environment factors and sleep duration at preschool age. We will include harmonized data on environmental factors at different points in time since birth until the age of measured preschool sleep.
