Hours: Minimum 15 hours per week upto 37.5 hours per week, 2 full time equivalent posts available

We are looking for 2 organised, motivated and enthusiastic Community Research Assistants to join our maternity and community based team, taking a key role in the promotion and recruitment of Born in Bradford research studies in pregnancy and the early years. The maternity and community based team host a range of studies, including the Born in Bradford’s Better Start (BiBBS) birth cohort study, and a randomised control trial of an intervention designed to help new mums manage their weight (Supporting MumS) (https://borninbradford.nhs.uk/what-we-do/pregnancy-early-years/).

The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of day to day running of the studies, including recruiting families by working alongside the antenatal clinic at Bradford Royal Infirmary, arranging and undertaking interviews at families’ homes and by phone; and collecting data and samples.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will play a key role in the engagement of families with our studies. The post holder will need to have experience of working in a community or healthcare setting, be organised and able to work under your own initiative to meet tight deadlines, as well as having an approachable and friendly manner. The post is fixed term until end of July 2024.
