Saibah is currently working as a Community Research Assistant for several projects in Born in Bradford, with a particular focus on the Healthy Homes project. Having completed a master’s degree in Public Health, Saibah has a passion for working to address health inequalities, through proposing evidence based and culturally competent solutions. A prime example of this is through her research in analysing barriers and facilitators to engagement with obesity prevention initiatives within the UK South Asian community. Furthermore, Saibah has extensive experience of building mutually beneficial networks within West Yorkshire, with local business, educational settings and community groups, to address prevalent Public Health issues such as unemployment and mental health. As well as her Born in Bradford work, Saibah also works with the Ethnic Minority Research Inclusion Group, hosted by Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH), to reduce barriers to accessing healthcare research among ethnic minority communities.
