Helen Piotrowski is a Research Fellow and joined the Born in Bradford team in March 2026. She completed her PhD at the University of Liverpool which critically analysed the development of pandemic preparedness policy frameworks in England between 1988 and 2019. During her research career she has worked across universities, schools, third sector organisations, the NHS, and the UK Health Security Agency. She is passionate about using qualitative research to address public health challenges and has methodological skills and knowledge in participatory health research, oral history, interpretative policy theory, archival research, ethnography, literature reviews and knowledge mobilisation.
