Ella Foggitt

Ella is a Senior Research Fellow/Study Manager for Healthy Homes, a study investigating how retrofitting social housing affects health, wellbeing and indoor air quality. She is an interdisciplinary researcher with an interest in how people’s interactions with urban infrastructure and basic services (particularly housing, water and sanitation) affect health, social and environmental outcomes. She holds a PhD from Lancaster University, has a background in the social sciences and public health engineering, and her previous work has spanned Global South and Global North settings. Ella takes a collaborative approach to her research, working in close partnership with government, industry and community stakeholders, and is driven by a desire to co-create healthier, more sustainable and just futures.
