Louise is a Senior Research Fellow and Research Lead for the Healthy Families Theme within the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire & Humber (ARC-YH). She is an epidemiological researcher investigating the health of children, young people and families. Her work uses routinely collected health and education data, together with other Born in Bradford datasets, to evaluate population health interventions and the impact of health inequalities using longitudinal study designs and other quantitative statistical methods.
Before joining the Bradford Institute for Health Research, Louise was a Research Fellow at the University of Manchester, where her work included studies of child and adolescent mental health, self-harm, suicidal ideation, ADHD and the long-term impact of the Manchester Arena attack. She has also undertaken research in occupational health and primary care epidemiology and completed a PhD examining the impact of work on health and the management of work-related ill health in primary care.
