The Parent Governors Group are parents who were recruited as part of the original BiB cohort. The group has served in an advisory capacity for over 10 years. They meet to discuss aspects of the Born In Bradford programme, providing expert input on topics such as integrating the research into the school curriculum, communicating the research project and findings to schools and parents, and supporting families to engage in health research. The group has been instrumental in supporting effective communication of key research processes (e.g., consent, data linkage, data security) to parents and communities and ensuring BiB research aligns with community needs and priorities.
