I joined BiB as a Senior Research Fellow in the Born in Bradford Better Start Bradford in December 2022. My role within Better Start Bradford is to link data from different sources, and building a "big picture" overview of datasets. I do this to provide other researchers with the high quality data they need to perform their analyses. I also help to evaluate Better Start projects to see how effective they have been at improving people's lives.

My interests lie in applying statistical methods to answer complex questions and helping to improve lives. Prior to joining BiB, I held several researcher positions working across Animal Welfare, Animal Physiology and Evolutionary Biophysics.

Why you enjoy working at BiB

I enjoy working together with people to answer complex questions which ultimately will provide evidence to help change policies. I feel like this way I get to give a voice to those people who are often overlooked or unheard by policy makers. The team also make it a great working environment, everyone is always so friendly and helpful!

Favourite toy when you were a child

I loved Lego, building things was always a lot of fun

Favourite pastime when not at work

When I'm not working, some of my favourite pastimes are walking and photography. I like to explore local places with a camera and try to get photos of birds, animals and plants.
