Age of Wonder Research Fellow

I have recently joined the Age of Wonder project as a Research Fellow. I studied Sociology at undergraduate level and Public Health at masters level, both at the University of Sheffield. I previously worked as a Research Engagement Officer in the Public Health Team for Wakefield Council. My role included raising awareness of current research projects and ensuring research was representative of the population. Part of my role was working alongside colleagues on the Born and Bred in Wakefield birth cohort study. My role in this project included identifying barriers to research engagement and developing solutions to ensure BaBi was representative of the growing diversity in Wakefield. This included direct work with a wide range of communities and voluntary organisations. My research background mainly includes qualitative research methods. I have a keen interest in reducing health inequalities in communities and underserved populations.
