The NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Yorkshire and Humber theme “Prevention and early intervention for children and families” (Healthy Families) aims to reduce health inequality and prevent ill-health in childhood, for lifelong health and prosperity.
Working locally, regionally and nationally to coproduce, evaluate, and scale evidence-based preventive interventions targeting wider determinants. We work with a range of stakeholders to ensure that this research knowledge is translated into policy and practice relevant evidence for action across three key areas:
• Early and primary school years
• Adolescence and youth
• Healthy, sustainable environments
