Born in Bradford (BiB) is an internationally acclaimed applied research programme which aims to improve health and wellbeing through the development and evaluation of interventions to promote health, and the application of research into practice

BiB hosts three birth cohort studies: the Born in Bradford cohort, Born in Bradford’s Better Start (BiBBS), and BiB4All, all of which harness routine data from numerous organisations to evaluate children’s health and wellbeing. BiB also hosts the Act Early City Collaboratory, which is funded by the UK Prevention Research Partnership (UKPRP), to create novel city research ‘hubs’ in Bradford and Tower Hamlets that will support the identification, co-production, implementation and evaluation of upstream interventions in areas with high levels of child poverty.

We are looking to recruit a Data Quality Analyst to play a key supporting role across the BiB family of projects.

The focus of the role will be on providing robust processes for data quality assurance, data extraction and reporting outputs, supporting database build and data curation activities of database managers, and providing a key source of knowledge and expertise about all datasets managed by the Research IT Development Team.

The post holder will possess a degree level qualification (or equivalent experience), detailed knowledge of SQL, including T-SQL and SQL Server Reporting Services, and experience of designing, developing and maintaining databases on a major RDBMS platform. Additionally, experience of using analytic tools and familiarity with statistical packages is desirable.
