Brief Description of Role:

We have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and diligent Research Administrator to work on the Born in Bradford research study. The study administrator will play a key role in assisting the Community Research Assistants and other Research Administrators to ensure the smooth running of the Born in Bradford study. This will helps us to achieve the objectives of the different research grants currently being run by Born in Bradford. Born in Bradford is one of the largest research studies in the World, tracking the lives of over 30,000 Bradfordians to find out what influences the health and wellbeing of families. We use our findings to develop new and practical ways to work with families and health professionals to improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.

This post will primarily support the work of two projects; Age of Wonder and JU:MP, but will be asked to support other Born in Bradford projects as required. They will support the Community Research Assistants and Research Fellows to ensure the smooth running of each study, including preparing research packs, documentation, clinic lists and arranging visits.

This post will be primarily based at the Bradford Institute for Health Research, but will also require regular visits to the team’s base at the DHEZ building in Bradford College and could require visits to schools and community settings within Bradford.

The postholder will be organised and able to work under their own initiative to meet tight deadlines, as well as having an approachable and friendly manner. You will also have experience of working in an office environment within a healthcare or research setting. You will be able to work under-pressure, have high-level IT skills and excellent organisational skills.
