FIXED TERM 2 YEARS
Brief Description of the Role:
We have two vacancies for research fellows to work on the Born in Bradford research project. BiB is one of the largest and most exciting health research projects in the UK. This family cohort study aims to examine environmental, psychological and genetic factors that impact on health and development perinatally, during childhood and subsequent adult life, and those that influence their parents’ health and wellbeing. The post holder will have the opportunity to work on a number of projects within BiB.
The Research Fellows will work with senior academics from Bradford, Leeds, York and Bristol to co-ordinate research projects within the Born in Bradford research programme. They will co-ordinate the key research and operational tasks required to ensure project milestones are achieved, and will contribute to dissemination and engagement activities.
They will support the development of research grant applications under the direction of senior academics within the team and contribute to writing of academic papers. The post holder will be encouraged to develop their own research interests in line with core topic areas within Born in Bradford which may include taking a lead for peer reviewed papers and performing quantitative or qualitative data analysis using existing or newly collected data. These are full-time, fixed term posts for 2 years. The posts will be based at the Bradford Institute for Health Research at the Bradford Royal Infirmary.
