BiBFest 2023- Young People and Schools Day

May we also take this opportunity to remind you of our upcoming BiB Fest. If you are interested, you must register by 9th June please:

  • For each school we are currently able to accept groups of up to 30 students plus staff.
  • BiB will fully reimburse your transport costs.
  • Lunch will be provided.
  • Neurodiverse friendly – we’re having a quiet area and working with a SEND consultant on accessibility needs.

This July 3rd and 4th, Born in Bradford (BiB) will be hosting a two day festival celebrating 16 years of cutting edge science, community empowerment and changing practice. BiB Fest 2023 will bring together a diverse range of teachers, young people, researchers, and community stakeholders to showcase BiB’s work so far, discuss current challenges, and outline next steps.

Day 1 (3rd July) is our young people’s day – join us to discuss all things Born in Bradford, and find out more about our flagship study – BiB: Age of Wonder.

Come and enjoy workshops that show how art can be used within research, how creative performances can be used to express yourself and how young people’s data is already changing Bradford! There will be stalls showcasing how research is conducted and exploring your data in virtual reality. Students will be able to learn about different careers in science and research and quiz our team on their career journeys. Students will have the opportunity to ask the decision makers of Bradford questions, and let them know what is important to Bradford’s Young People.

Whilst keeping science at its core, the day will also embrace a festival atmosphere, ensuring students and teachers have a great day while expanding their knowledge!

So come and join us on the 3rd July for an exciting day packed full of great music, great food, and great science!
