BiB Age of Wonder (AoW) is an exciting 7-year research project, with 30,000 young
people in Bradford at its heart. We are looking for Bradford young people (aged 11-17),
who are passionate about public health and making a difference, to join our BiB Age of
Wonder Young Leaders panel. As a young leader, you will direct the world’s largest
project on young people’s health.
You will work with the research team to make sure we change things for the better. As a
young leader you will receive mentoring from world-leading experts, and gain hands-on
experience working with researchers, council members, media teams, marketing
professionals and others on research that will change your city.
For their efforts, Young Leaders will receive a Cities of Learning badge, an end of year
celebration, and gain valuable skills and experience to put on their CV. Food and
refreshments will be provided for all in-person meetings, while reimbursement will be
offered at a rate of £20 per hour. This payment is facilitated through the offer of
‘Love2Shop’ e-vouchers.
Interested? Want to find out more? Then come along to one of our AoW Young Leaders
drop-in sessions. During these sessions we will discuss the Age of Wonder project and
outline what being a Young Leader can do for you. You will also have the chance to ask
questions, meet the team and chat to other teenagers from across Bradford. Drop-in
sessions will be held on MS Teams at the following times:
31st May 17:30 – 18:30
1st June 18:30 – 19:30
6th June 17:30 – 18:30
7th June 18:30 – 19:30
