Nilam is a Research Fellow in the Age of Wonder programme. She has a PhD in Exercise Physiology from Loughborough University and a Masters of Biomedical Sciences from the Karolinska Institutet in her native Stockholm. During her PhD, Nilam recruited and worked with University athletes to assess them for Exercise-Induced Bronchoconstriction, thus broadening her knowledge of respiratory physiology. She is also performed various quantitative analyses to assess inflammatory markers in blood. She is interested in health inequalities, genetics/epigenetics, intervention designs and qualitative assessments.
