Lucy is working with the Centre for Applied Education (https://www.caer.org.uk/) to support schools and the education sector to integrate evidence-based practice. Lucy’s research interests include the development of motor skills and how they interact with other aspects of childhood development such as health and academic attainment in children with and without developmental disorders. Lucy has a background in Psychology, and recently completed her PhD at the University of Leeds. This focused on developing a school-based screening tool for fundamental movement skills to (i) reduce inequalities in the identification motor difficulties, and (ii) enable expedited time to assessment and intervention for children that need additional support.
