Leanne Jackson is a Research Associate at the Better Start Bradford Innovation Hub. Leanne joined the team in July 2021 to evaluate various interventions within the Better Start Bradford program.
Leanne completed her undergraduate degree with 1st Class Honours in June 2017 at the University of Liverpool. At the same institution, Leanne is currently in the final year of her PhD studies (due to submit in January 2022). Leanne’s mixed methods PhD has sought to investigate the relationship between experiences of adverse emotional experiences in the postpartum period, and infant feeding outcomes. Alongside her PhD, Leanne worked as a statistics demonstrator at the University, delivering large and small group teaching to BSc Psychology students. Leanne also holds a research assistant position at the University of Liverpool. This position involves working on a pilot and feasibility trial with Alder Hey Children's NHS Foundation Trust, on the delivery of non-medical interventions to soothe infantile symptoms of colic and reflux, and to improve caregiver confidence and mood in managing these symptoms.
