My role at BiB is to provide communications, PR and marketing support for the Sport England Local Delivery Pilot - Active Bradford and its flagship JU:MP project. I graduated from Leeds Arts University in 2012 with a BA in Creative Advertising, and have over ten years’ experience within my field. Until 2018 I had mainly worked in PR agencies and was lucky enough to work for many big and well-known brands during that time. After a fantastic few years doing that I decided it was time for something new, so made a big change and moved VCS side, leading on comms for a Bradford-based mental health charity. Being part of that world for a few years introduced me to the many other amazing projects happening in Bradford, which eventually led me to BiB.

Why you enjoy working at BiB

I’m contributing to bettering the lives of children in the city I was born in, grew up in and still call my home. Being part of this project means a lot to me and is something I would’ve benefitted from if the project was around when I was a child.

Favourite toy when you were a child

I’d have to say my Toy Story Woody doll. My big brother had a Buzz Lightyear but we all know Woody was the coolest.

Favourite pastime when not at work

I run a floristry business so get to play with flowers every weekend and provide wedding flowers for the loveliest couples.
