Evie is one of our current research interns on placement at the Centre for Applied Education Research; she is a psychology undergrad at the University of Leeds. Evie’s research interests include childhood cognitive development in relation to academic attainment, preterm birth, neurodiversity and mental health.

I enjoy working at BiB because I am passionate about their ethos of helping to reduce educational inequalities and improve the lives of children.

Favourite toy when you were a child

My favourite toy as a child was a yellow bus that sang wheels on the bus.

Favourite pastime when not at work

When I'm not working, my favourite pastime is travelling to Rhosneigr on Anglesey and spending time beside the water, away from phones and the stresses of everyday life.
