Erika is multidisciplinary health scientists with an interest in physical activity, active travel, air pollution, built environment and sport science. Erika joined Born in Bradford (BiB) as a Senior Research Fellow in August 2022. She is part of the Healthy Places team, and involved in the UnderstandING the sourcEs, traNsformations and fates of IndOor air pollUtantS (INGENIOUS) project which aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of indoor air pollution in the UK homes. Before joining the BiB, she worked in the MRC Epidemiology Unit, University of Cambridge as a Postdoctoral Fellow, and focused on physical activity in children and young people. Erika completed a PhD at Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, assessing associations between children’s school travel behaviour and multiple environmental attributes.
