Before joining the Born in Bradford team, I worked part time as a Physiotherapist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals and part time as a Research Physiotherapist at the University of Leeds. This role is my first full time research position, and the decision to leave my clinical physiotherapy role was driven by a desire to support the needs of whole communities and develop health services, therefore BiB is a great place for this! I am also currently completing my Masters in Public Health at the University of Sheffield.

I have a passion for Global Health and developing the health services of Low and Middle Income Countries. In 2019, I took a career break and worked with the Malagasy Ministry of Health to support the development of their national Physiotherapy service. I still work closely with the teams in Madagascar through my role as Trustee of the Charity ‘Global Rehabilitation’. Through working at BiB, I believe that I will gain the knowledge and skills required to work in Public Health Nationally and Globally in future, and I really enjoy the challenges that this role brings!
