Anna is a medical anthropologist who has been involved in applied health and wellbeing research projects with several different cultures and vulnerable communities in Central America and the UK. These projects include the impact of fuel poverty on children and adults with sickle cell disease (Northern England and Midlands), childhood asthma and fuel poverty (South Yorkshire), domestic mould reduction intervention project (Rotherham); South Asian, Guatemalan and white British infant thermal care beliefs (Bradford and Guatemala), infant and maternal health and green spaces (Bradford) and an ethnographic field work focusing on ethnic relations between development workers and Ngawbe indigenous communities (Panama). She is currently working on the Better Place theme of Better Start Bradford to provide evidence, co-design methodology and evaluation support for green spaces development
